If we long for something long gone and/or try to recreate some mood or circumstances we used to have, becoming frustrated when some aspect of it is different than before, we can hardly 'refind' some old happiness... Instead let's work for happiness that is timeless and not dependent on some everchanging circumstances or conditions. Will you?

  • I'm not really sure when did I write-and-forget-to-post this, perhaps last summer. Seems like a good way to start 2018 anyway - with an empty attempt to make others forget their cultural, ethnical and religious prejudice and live together happily ever after... (I seriously can't believe I'm writing this fully sober.) Perhaps I just miss those times when people cared about truth, justice, solidarity, etc. Anyway, it's more of a "to be continued brainstorming" than a complete essay. So enjoy: The perception of cultures.

  • So it’s been more than three years since the beginning of this little poetic endeavor and the first book is finished and hopefully might even get published one day. Fingers circled (^_^).
Thus from now on, thanks to inspiration given to me by a friend, I decided to try something different or to put it better, to return to the kind of poems I started with, when I was about sixteen. All of them are one-verse stand-alone pieces called Scratches on paper. I hope you will enjoy them.

Though trust me, the best way for it to stay so perfect, is if it stays in that form. For it all happens within us and sometimes the more we try to confront those "dreams", the less "dreamy" they tend to become... Principles of beauty.

This place isn't fix in space - it is rather a quality that you can find every once in a while, when your heart is peaceful and open to the spirits of nature. • It's not the easiest thing to translate a poem from another language, especially when you are the original author... At some point you'll often have no choice but to give up on some aspects of the original meaning, no matter how hard you try. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that you won't come up with some other idea that may make the final product perhaps even more interesting. I shall thusly hope that's what just happened here ^_^. The song of the world #5 (edited: 17/2/21) .

  • There are many places of great value. Places where people go to recharge their wallet or karma and hunt merits, hence some call them "important". Then there are places where people go for neither money, nor merits. Where people go to recharge their soul. Although the difference is really just within ourselves and those two kinds of places usually are the same, sometimes, they are not. Then just a few people care about their existence and recognize their value. Today I shall tell you of such a place.

  • Our lives are usually full of stereotypes. Mostly, we consider them to be something bad, something that keeps us from enjoying life. Often they are. However, thats not their fault at all. Just take a moment and realize, how many sentient beings have been and will be killed and tortured by knife. And yet, we don't despise knives. I even dare to say the civilization as we know it wouldn't exist without them. Therefore, things are neither bad, nor good in their nature. A tool; a weapon - those are merely images/concepts, created in our brain and heart. The result of their doing is completely our responsibility. Stereotypes are no different. they are tools we can harm ourselves with, as well as tools we can use to achieve inner peace. As soon as the weather allows, my stereotype of this kind is to sit outside, drink tea and feel the air, the wind, the Sun; hear the birds. One can just wonder, how is this stereotype can keep us from enjoying life:)) PS: The summer comes, The honorable fight.

  • One year and two days ago, the first entry of this version came to existence. What has happened since? Much, nothing, who knows? This is something we have to ask ourselves. Are we better than last year? If yes, are we better to ourselves? Are we better to others? Let's not forget the original aspect of all things. We all move on the highway called Time always towards the future. Not a single thing is excluded from this movement. Let's be sure that we all move on the highway called Life always towards happiness and not a single sentient being is excluded as well.

Every highway requires some traffic rules in order to ensure safety of all its drivers. Every human being requires some knowledge about this Life in order to ensure safety and well-being of everything around. Shall these Short stories of everything reveal a certain piece of it.

  • So, I guess the time isn't slowing at all, because we just changed the digit on the solar calendar and in a month, we are gonna do the same on the lunar one, saying goodbye to the horse and welcoming the goat on the proverbial throne of fortune. Shall we use this opportunity with the upmost effort to better ourselves not in promises, but in actions; not in show-offs, but in generosity; not in smart-ass-ness, but in wisdom. Shall we care for others more than for ourselves, shall we be freed from suffering by awareness and analysis.

  • After sometime I’m sitting once again in a vietnamese tearoom/restaurant that tries to look like inside of a temple, having the traditional 3 buddhas in a row and one more in front of them, surrounded by flowers, incenses, vases and other kinds of offerings. I used to come here since I learned about it, on the day of my 15th birthday, when my mother took me here for lunch. Then I’d return every once in a while to clear my head and relax. Time flies like one big crazy river and we are similar to small leaves just watching the banks to go by. Almost 12,5 years later. Now. This ever changing, yet constant moment guiding us through the whole life. It is said, what’s in the past doesn’t exist anymore, what’s in the future, doesn’t exist yet and what is “now” we cannot grasp anyway. Words of the Bodhidharma - 聖意皆空 - a sage's thoughts [are] all Empty. Now I’m sitting here, unwillingly listening to two people talking at the next table, trying to deepen my patience:-).
So, this shall be the first piece of the new english version of this e-magazine I’ve been working on for so many years. And now we’re going on. Looks like leaving the ‘not so great’ world of Facebook and returning to the “old school” way of communicating with others really agrees with me pretty much. Anyway, I don’t really care if I have a lot of readers, or not. This web is perhaps going to be mostly about poetry, cultural or traditional stuff, even some pictures, or occasional stories from time to time. Who knows. Thank you all for your interest and enjoy:-))
